It’s Official! I’m A Mac Convert

It has been quite some time since I have purchased a new computer. I have always been a PC user, shying away from an Apple computer because of the proverbial “learning curve” I hear many people complain about. I’ve talked to technical experts and they all suggested staying away from Macs.

When the time came to upgrade our technology, I started revisiting the conversion to Mac. I’ve read on Facebook from so many people that they made the leap and it was the best thing they ever did. I then started to ask the tech experts in my circle why they were against Mac and the main reason because of the proprietary nature of Apple and how difficult it is to add to your computer.

I then realized, that’s not me. I won’t be taking my computer apart and  tinkering with it. Also, I was going to have to learn all new software anyway as well as an operating system as my PC still has Windows XP! I figured if I was going to have to do all this, why not go for a big change in a big way.

I took the plunge and purchased a Mac Book Pro, the latest and greatest. While I haven’t started using it 100% with my work, I am well on my way. As for the learning curve, it hasn’t been bad at all. I have to say everything has been pretty intuitive and easy.

I can’t believe how far behind I was in technology. I figured since it had been so long since I purchased a new computer I would go all out. After all, I will spend many years with this computer so I better make it good.

If you use a Mac, I’d love to hear your one best tip you can’t live without since owning your Mac.
